Lennon's Eyes

5/5/2013

   Lennon’s Eyes

While our leaders eat gourmet meals
The hungry pile through the doors at a soup kitchen
While our leaders travel on private jets
More cyclists hit the streets due to gas prices they cannot afford
Soldiers believe they are fighting for freedom
They believe they are fighting for what is right for their country
LIES!
They fight for oil, which brings in more money for the people in power
So that the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer
I say; Ban oil!
But like that would ever happen
Not with the amount of greed that has filled our leader’s eyes
Even though it could kill our land, and kill us all
They would rather that, than to give up their wealth
They would rather see us die
Our Prime Minister gave a good example of where his priorities lie
He follows the money and not his heart
The Chinese Government is his priority because they pay him big bills
Occupy, Idle No More
The people are fed up
The people want social and economic equality
They want unity
The right to put in their say about what happens to the land
The only thing that stands in the way to end poverty is greed
What would a world be like without money?
What would a world be like without the value of possession & power?
Would it be a world with as many people suffering as there are today?
The more I see, the more I understand and respect John Lennon
And he’s not even Canadian
Imagine.
